i just got an e-mail from borders about the victorian bushfire appeal 2009 incitative they’re taking on.
Help Borders raise $200,000 for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal and bring in your second hand good quality books or purchase a new book to donate.
Borders will match the retail price of all donated books, with all books and funds used to re-stock schools and libraries in fire affected areas.
this makes me super happy so i’m currently spring-cleaning (in the middle of summer, whatever) my bookshelf and building up a donation pile of books i don’t even read anymore but that i’m convinced other people can read and enjoy.
productive thursdays are pretty good.
