What is your damage, Heather?

Oh this movie. One of my favorite quotes in the history of ever:
“Dear Diary, my teen-angst bullshit now has a body count.”
Also:
“Grow up Heather, bulimia’s so ‘87.”
Plus:
“My son’s a homosexual, and I love him. I love my dead gay son.”
And let’s not forget:
“Football season is over, Veronica. Kurt and Ram had nothing left to offer the school except for date rapes and AIDS jokes.”
—-
Sidenote: For my peer education and theory class, I told my classmates that Heathers was one of my favorite movies and everyone stated that they’d never seen it. Depressing. Then, when I explained the movies premise (“Uh…it’s about this girl named Veronica…and this guy named JD…and teen suicide…but not really. I mean, they make them look like suicides but they really killed her frenemies…”) everyone sat in their seats with blank looks on their faces. Right.

A classic.
