FAVOURITE MOVIE. OR AT LEAST ONE OF.
we were analyzing the script in class last week, and it was my favourite scene. you know, the one where scarlett and bill are lying on the bed and she talks about girls going through a photography phase (“you know, like horses”) and he talked about how his kids were the most delightful people he’d ever met. so, so, so good.

patrick getting a sort-of piggy back ride from one of the grizzly bear boys? i’m downloading his new album because i’d like to make up my own mind about what it sounds like. excited, because, you know, he’s completely lovely and a genius and my future husband (only in awkward he-just-doesn’t-know-it-yet terms, but stillllll).

Everyone thinks that writers must know more about the inside of the human head, but that is wrong. They know less, that’s why they write: trying to find out what everyone else takes for granted.

Memory is a part of the present. It builds us up inside; it knits our bones to our muscles and keeps our hearts pumping. It is memory that reminds our bodies to work, and memory that reminds our spirits to work to: it keeps us who we are
